We are now offering Dry Needling Services!
What is Dry Needling?
Dry Needling is a technique Physical Therapists use to treat pain and movement impairments. It is a treatment in which very thin and fine needles are placed into specific trigger points, muscles, or ligaments.
Dry needling can release or inactivate trigger points to relieve pain, promote healing, and improve range of motion. Research suggests that dry needling improves pain control and reduces muscle tension.
Dry Needling has a different philosophy from acupuncture as it is based upon Western Medicine practices vs. Chinese Medicine. Acupunctures is used to effect your nervous system and balance energy, while Dry needling is used to release tension from specific tight bands of muscle.
